Florida Responsible Vendor Alcohol Training for Managers
Manager training for Florida bars, restaurants and hotels, designed to meet the manager training requirements of Florida's Responsible Vendor Act (Fla. Stat. 561.705). Under the Act, managers must complete training within 15 days of starting work.
Includes everything in the server course (Florida alcohol law, checking IDs and preventing underage sales, recognizing intoxication, alcohol and other drugs, refusing service, and drug activity on the premises), plus a manager lesson on running a responsible alcohol operation: hiring questionnaires, the written drug policy, required records, signage, backing up staff on refusals, and holding the staff meetings every 4 months. Ends with a 40-question final exam, a 15-question manager assessment, and a certificate of completion.
Good to know: No state approval is required for Responsible Vendor courses. Responsible Vendor status is earned by the business and also requires server training, the hiring questionnaire, a signed drug policy, posted signs, and records.
